Prohibition laws are being strictly enforced at the challenge grid. Maybe you got the bum’s rush, but you still need a place to express yourself. Maybe you don’t have time to read all the blogs. Perhaps you want to be unfettered by competition or you have a post that everyone should read, but doesn’t meet the challenge grid criteria.
This party is for cool cats whose reasons for not submitting to the challenge grid vary week-to-week. And if you’re part of the temperance movement, that’s just ducky. With unlimited spots on the grid, there’s room for everyone. Bring us your best stuff, and we’ll be glad to have you.
Between sets of fine Chicago jazz, we’re looking for good reads. Feel free to submit the following styles of post to the speakeasy grid:
As long as it’s been posted to your own blog within seven days of the current grid opening, but before it closes, we’ll accept it. We do not accept posts with raffles, give-aways, contests or commercial content. September is kid-free month at the speakeasy, in solidarity with the challenge grid’s family-free month.
Did you know?
You can now submit the same post to both grids! Nifty, right? Provided you’ve met the criteria for the challenge grid and you’re committed to reading all the blogs on it before voting, you can also submit that post to the speakeasy.
There is no obligation for anyone to read any of the posts on this grid
The only thing that will compel someone to view and comment on your submission is an entertaining, meaningful post. If you choose not to bring your best stuff (and ‘best’ is different for everyone), you’ll still get a spot on the grid, but no one will spend their valuable time on it.
This community will be a success because of you or in spite of you. Make the most of your week on the speakeasy grid: submit a good post, visit the other blogs, comment on the ones you like, and join in the conversation on Twitter at #yeahwrite. Inspire and be inspired.
Welcome dames and gents! The speakeasy at yeah write #75 is open.
